Effective date: November 2, 2026
This policy explains what information Lytbit collects through lytbit.com, why, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to correct or delete it. It covers this website. Data in the Lytbit Ledger platform is governed by the agreement with each customer and described on our Security & Data page.
The short version
- We collect the information you type into our forms, so we can reply to you.
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless, to count page views.
- The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
- Cloudflare processes form submissions and analytics for us as our service provider.
- We keep form submissions for 24 months, then delete them.
- We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to sales@lytbit.com.
Who we are
Lytbit is a smart lighting and IoT systems company at 431 West Main Street, Suite 306, Tupelo, MS 38804. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, it means Lytbit.
What we collect through forms
The site has three forms: Contact, Start a Project and the Lab form. Depending on the form, they ask for:
- your name;
- your work email address;
- your company and your role;
- details about your building, such as type, size, location, current controls and timing;
- your message.
Only fill in what you are comfortable sharing. We don’t ask for payment details, government identification numbers or anything of that kind, and we’d ask you not to include them in a message.
How form submissions are processed
When you submit a form:
- A Cloudflare Worker, a small program running on Cloudflare’s network, receives and checks the submission.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the submission comes from a person rather than an automated bot, usually without asking you to solve a puzzle. Turnstile evaluates signals from your browser to make that decision; our Worker receives a pass or fail result. We don’t use Turnstile for advertising or to follow you around the web.
- The submission is stored in Cloudflare KV, a storage service on Cloudflare’s network, and emailed to the Lytbit team so a person can reply, normally within one business day.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand which pages are read and whether the site loads quickly. It records information such as the page viewed, the referring website, the approximate country, the browser and device type, and page performance timings. It does not use cookies or local storage, and it is not designed to identify or follow individual visitors. We look at the results in aggregate, for example “how many people read the commissioning page this month.”
Cookies
The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t embed advertising networks, social media widgets or third-party trackers. That’s why you don’t see a cookie banner. Our fonts are hosted on our own site rather than loaded from a font service.
Technical data our host processes
Like any website host, Cloudflare processes technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, in order to deliver pages to you and to protect the site against attacks and abuse. Cloudflare operates a global network, so your request may be handled in a data center outside your state or country.
How we use your information
We use the information you send us to:
- reply to your message and discuss your project or question;
- prepare a proposal or schedule a site visit if you ask for one;
- route technical and careers questions to the right person;
- keep a record of our correspondence with you;
- protect the site and our team from spam and abuse.
We don’t add you to a marketing mailing list because you filled in a form. If we ever start a newsletter, it will be opt-in.
Who we share it with
- Cloudflare, which processes form submissions, bot checks, storage and analytics for us as our service provider.
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores the email copy of your submission in our team’s mailbox.
- People you ask us to involve, for example a contractor, a utility program or your local power company when you ask us to help with an incentive application.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal order.
- A successor business, if Lytbit is ever merged or sold, under the same commitments made in this policy.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions, including the copies delivered to our mailbox, for 24 months, then delete them. If you become a client, the records of our project work together are kept for as long as our agreement with you specifies, which is separate from this website policy. Analytics are kept in aggregate form only.
How we protect it
Form submissions travel over encrypted connections and are stored in services with access limited to the people at Lytbit who need them to reply to you. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take care to collect little, keep it for a limited time, and restrict who can see it.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you from this website;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information before the 24-month period ends;
- stop contacting you.
Write to sales@lytbit.com with your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity, usually by replying from the email address you used in the form. A person will reply within one business day and complete the request promptly, and in any case within the time required by any law that applies to you. You won’t be treated differently for making a request.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to standards bodies, utility programs and other sites we cite. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn’t cover.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll say so clearly on this page before it takes effect.
