Pick the resource that matches your question
Each resource answers one kind of question, and none of them asks for your email address.
- What could controls save in my building? Use the Savings Estimator. It returns a range, shows every assumption, and keeps HVAC setback separate from lighting.
- Which protocol should we use? The Protocol Explorer compares twelve protocols and data models by layer, with what each is good for and what tends to go wrong.
- What does that acronym mean? The Glossary defines the terms that turn up in specifications, utility applications and IT reviews.
- How do we buy this without regret? The Buyer’s & RFP Guide covers the decisions to make before bidding, the spec clauses to insist on, and the questions to put to every bidder.
Where people usually start
Owners and facility managers tend to start with the estimator and the buyer’s guide. IT leads and engineers start with the protocol explorer, then read our integrations and protocols page. Finance teams start with the estimator, then look at incentive management and lighting-as-a-service.
How we keep them honest
These pages are written by the same controls, network and data engineers who write our sequences and run the Lytbit Lab. Where we use a published figure, we name its source, such as DLC’s estimate of about 49% average savings for NLC and 63% for NLC with LLLC. Where no good figure exists, we give a range and label it illustrative. When standards move, as DLC NLC 5.2, BACnet/SC adoption and Matter’s commercial roadmap are moving now, we update the page.
